Chino Valley is a small town north of Prescott in central Arizona high country. Music life is rural and community based, with school bands, church groups, and rodeo or fair events providing the main performance opportunities. Prescott is the closest town with a more developed local scene.

County fairgrounds, church fellowship halls, and local community events host country and acoustic acts. For bars and listening rooms, musicians drive south to Prescott, where a small but active circuit of restaurants and breweries exists.

Chino Valley has no famous artists; local and regional musicians perform here, with Prescott players occasionally driving down from the mountains for local gatherings.
