Music scene · Nashville

Nashville, Georgia, is a small south Georgia town distinct from the Tennessee music capital. Local music centers on school bands, church choirs, and country or rock cover bands at bars.

The high school auditorium, churches, and county fairgrounds are the main performance spaces. A few local bars and restaurants host acoustic acts. For larger concerts, residents travel to Valdosta.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Valdosta scene occasionally passing through.

Beginners should join the school band or a church choir, check community bulletin boards, and volunteer for local festivals. Valdosta offers more frequent gigging opportunities.
