Watseka is a rural town in east-central Illinois near the Indiana border. Music includes school marching bands, church choirs, county fair talent shows, and country acts from the Kankakee area performing at local bars and community events.

Performances are held at the high school auditorium, American Legion hall, local bars and restaurants, church fellowship halls, and the Iroquois County Fairgrounds. Park pavilions host summer concerts.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Kankakee scene occasionally passing through.
