Brazil is a small western Indiana city where music grows out of school bands, church choirs, and country and classic rock cover bands at local bars. Indianapolis area musicians sometimes drive west for community events and small shows.

The high school auditorium, community center, church fellowship hall, and local bar or restaurant host most performances. County fair events also provide occasional stages.

Brazil is not famous for producing name artists. Local and regional players perform here, with musicians from the Indianapolis area occasionally passing through.

New musicians can join the school band or choir, connect with church ensembles, and check the community center for open mic nights. Indianapolis is the closest major market.
