Glens Falls is a small upstate city near the Adirondacks with a long tradition of community bands, high school musicals, and local rock and country acts. The nearby Saratoga Springs and Albany areas supply most professional players.

Downtown bars and restaurants, the Charles R. Wood Theater, the Glens Falls Civic Center for larger acts, and church halls all host music. Summer concerts use city park bandstands.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Albany scene occasionally passing through.
