Andrews is a Permian Basin oil town where music life has long revolved around high school bands, country radio, and church worship teams. The flat West Texas landscape supports more backyard barbecues and county fair talent shows than a regular club circuit.

Live country and gospel music appears at local restaurants, the county fairgrounds, and church events. For bigger rooms and touring acts, performers and audiences drive west toward Midland and Odessa, the region's closest metro anchors.

Andrews has no famous musical exports; local and regional artists perform here, and musicians from the nearby Midland-Odessa scene occasionally make the drive west.
