Fife is a small industrial and residential city between Tacoma and Seattle where music reflects its Pacific Northwest setting. School bands, church programs, and local casino lounge acts provide most of the live sound.

School auditoriums and church fellowship halls are the steady community venues. Nearby casinos and restaurants along the highway book acoustic and cover acts, while Tacoma and Seattle offer the larger clubs.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Tacoma scene occasionally passing through.

Students should join school band or choir, and adults can seek church music groups or casino lounge auditions. Gigging musicians will find far more work in Tacoma or Seattle, but Fife can serve as a home base.
